Desengaño

Desengaño is Spanish for Heartbreak. The 10 letter word to her has always been that, a 10 letter word. It’s a feeling that she’d never experienced personally but it’s a feeling she’d seen the people around her experience it.

So what’s the meaning of heartbreak or as I like to call it desengaño? I goggled the meaning because it’s an emotional feeling that’s the hardest to describe.  Here is a meaning that I came across: Heartbreak is the absolute worst feeling in the entire world. When one is heartbroken they may actually feel such an intense pain they don’t even want to live anymore.

There she was walking in the dark with her wounded heart in her hands, anguished and confused, after high hopes of giving her heart to someone who took it in their palms and squeezed of it until the last drop of life was no more.

The walk on that path was the longest walk she had ever walked in her life. A path she had never wished of being on because she had seen what heartbreak had done to the closest people in her life. She was devastated, shocked and betrayed, feelings that attacked her so much that she couldn’t fight the battle.

She always knew how to fight her battles but this was one battlefield she wasn't familiar with. She never thought she’ll be in this battleship called love.
