The Last Two Months
Its been two months since I last wrote. I could blame it on my job, my hectic life or the lack of inspiration but no, I blame myself. If I wanted to write I would have. I won't promise that this is the beginning of a fresh start because I don't want to make a promise which I have a deep feeling, I won't be able to fulfill. But I'll do my best to write weekly. At least that's a start.
It's been a crazy two months. I became an year old, cheers to that. I took a trip to Coast for my birthday. I didn't know what to get myself, I decided to treat myself to a one week holiday in Mombasa 'Raha' as they call it. The trip was worth it. I took a break from my so called busy world. I needed to reflect about my life and the direction its taking. Our life sometimes can be so hectic that we lose ourselves in the process. Honestly I had lost myself but now I'm fine, wait I'm more than fine.
In November my mum fell sick and was admitted to the hospital. As far as I can recall my mum has been admitted four times and it were the times when she was bringing my siblings and I into this world. God has been faithful to her all this time. When that call came through that she has been rushed to hospital, so many things went through my mind. The first thing I did was park the car at the side of the road and prayed to God not to take her away from us now because we really need her. I wasn't ready to imagine life without my mum, I just couldn't.
When I got to hospital she was there smiling. My mum is the type of person no matter what she's going through she always affords a smile. That is the one thing I surely got from her. It was strange how my mum was the one who was comforting us while she was there on her bed. I can surely tell you that those four days is the most I have ever talked to God. I'm very grateful to God for the healing process my mum has been experiencing. It's God's faithfulness.
That's all for now until next time. Cheers :)
